Fun events at BIS III
has laid on these fun events for participants: Craig Stadler -- "the walrus'' -- who captured the hearts of thousands of Bermudians when he won the Merrill Lynch Shoot Out at the Mid Ocean Club last September, returns to Bermuda for today's BIS III Golf Tournament.
Stadler will be conducting a clinic for participants in the golf tournament at 11.30 a.m. at Riddell's Bay Golf Club and will be helping to award the prizes at the BIS III welcoming cocktail party this evening. There he will be assisted by XL Insurance Company president and CEO Brian O'Hara, who is also a trustee of the Angus Robinson Jr. Memorial Foundation, to which a portion of the tournament's proceeds will be donated.
Angus Robinson Jr. was one of the Bermuda insurance market's early innovators who saw the potential for the Island to develop from a captive insurance market to a world class commercial insurance and reinsurance market. In his memory, the foundation presents scholarship grants to students pursuing a career in the insurance/reinsurance industry.

Master of Wine Robin Blackburne will be presenting eight very rare Bordeaux wines at a special tasting on Wednesday at 6.30 p.m.
Cigar lovers will be be able to puff away to their hearts' content at a special cigar sampling in the wine cellar at Southampton Princess on Thursday night at 11 p.m. Hosted by Tienda de Tabaco, handmade cigars, including Montecristo, Partagas, Hoyo deMonterrey and Saint Luis Rey will be available.
