Dance will join forces with the music and art world next week to celebrate the holiday season.

United Dance Productions, under the artistic direction of founder Suzette Harvey, will present a Christmas musical -- a first for the well known dance company.

Go Tell It On The Mountain is written, choreographed and directed by international guest artist Kevin Malone.

"The purpose of this show is to provide Bermuda with a quality artistic production which will bring the local community together through the arts,'' explained Ms Harvey.

"The show is an afrocentric, soulful rendition of the nativity.

"It will tell the story of Christ's birth through poetry, spoken text, music, dance and wearable art.

"One particular highlight of the show will feature wearable art by local artist Vernon Clarke.'' And the extravaganza will feature an all Bermudian cast -- all of which had to audition to be included in the production.

"The show features a multicultural cast, ranging in ages from seven years old to fifty,'' noted Ms Harvey.

"Darryl Simons is the director of music and he has worked very hard to make this show a success.

"The show will be a holiday treat for the entire family to see.'' The holiday musical will run from December 16 to 19 at the City Hall theatre.
