Good Friday festivities at a glance
the annual Kite Fest at Horseshoe Bay tomorrow (FRI).
Beginning at 11 a.m. with a non-denominational service, the day promises to be very eventful with various forms of entertainment. The annual kite competition will begin at 12.30 p.m. -- 30 minutes after registration closes.
Entries will be judged in three categories: Primary, Secondary, and Adult.
There will also be prizes for the Best Giant Kite Overall and the Best Smallest Kite Overall.
In addition to the contest, there will be entertainment for the young and old, including dancers from the local school In Motion. They will perform under the direction of Elizabeth Pimental at noon.
From 2 p.m. children's games will begin. There will also be a limbo contest at 2.30 p.m. and the Warwick Gombey Troupe at 3.45 p.m.
