Happy with the lilies
Easter lilies. Governor Thorold Masefield received word early last month from assistant private secretary to the Queen Mary Francis.
The letter dated April 9 read: "The Queen received yesterday your beautiful gift of Bermuda Easter lilies.
"They were immediately placed in Her Majesty's drawing room here at Windsor Castle, ready for the Easter festivities.
"The Queen has asked me to send her warmest thanks and best wishes to you and to the Government and people of Bermuda.'' *** TOR Memorial School in St. John's, Antigua will be holding a 100th anniversary reunion celebration during the month of July.
