House gift

HOUSE GIFT -- Philanthropist Mr. Dudley Butterfield this week donated $100,000 to the Bermuda Maritime Museum. The money is to be used for the restoration of Commissioner's House. Pictured (from left to right) are Mr. John McCulloch, chairman of the museum's fund-raising committee, museum chairman Mr. Paul Leseur, Mr. Butterfield and campaign chairman Sir James Astwood. At the presentation, Mr. Butterfield said he believed the Commissioner's House project was "of international importance and worthy of the wholehearted support of our community. Complete restoration will soon be a reality and I am proud to make a significant donation towards the preservation of Bermuda's heritage.''
