The College of Insurance in Bermuda held its recognition ceremony at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, praising those pupils who had achieved.

Winner of the highest award from the New York based college was Mark Lima, who received the Bermuda MBA medal.

And Student Leadership awards were made to Collinwood Anderson, Leah Richardson, Mark Lima and Shanna Tyrell.

Other participants were honoured as part of the Christian Fellowship Organisation, as student ambassadors and other roles.

The private college awards undergraduate and MBA degrees in insurance, and provides training to industry.

Charles Edinger, executive vice president of the college, addressed the students and president Ellen Thrower paid tribute to this year's recruits.

Bermudian insurance students also feature strongly on college and Government boards and have taken part in conferences in the US.
