League benefits from bachelor auction
League, raised from a bachelor auction held recently.
Members were asked to bid for men and given a variety of dates to choose from during the fun evening.
President of the Chamber, Miss Lydia Perinchief explained: "The men dressed in formal and casual wear and our members bid for them.
"There were also date packages on which the successful bidders could take their man. They included day trips around the Island, dinners and snorkelling.
"They were all fun things that people could do together. We were not trying to marry anybody off.
"It was a lot of fun and we raised the money over and above the expenses we paid to hold the event.'' The most expensive male was Mr. Antonio Smith who was valued at $500. Mr.
Smith was awarded an air ticket as a reward for his ego-building success.
