Lunchtime seminars for green at heart

Yesterday's session focused on roses and other flowering plants; today's will be on planning and purchasing flowers for a wedding while tomorrow will look at caring for African violets. Thursday's session will cover small floral arrangements which anyone can create.

The seminars will be offered twice on each day. The first at 12.15 to 12.45 p.m. and the second from 1.15 to 1.45 p.m.

In addition to this, seven local gardening clubs will exhibit arrangements throughout the store until March 28.

*** Bermuda Public Health Week begins next Monday and a series of events are planned to promote `healthy people in a healthy community'.

A Community Fair will be held from April 1 to 4 for children and families at City Hall. the first three days of the fair will operate from 12 to 2 p.m.

while the last day will run from 12 to 2.30 p.m.

On April 2, between noon and 4 p.m., the Hamilton Health Centre, Environment Health, Somerset Health Centre and St. George's Health Centre will host open houses.

A Public Health Week Luncheon will be held on April 5 at the Sonesta Beach Hotel between 1 and 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. Gloria Smith from the Kellogg Foundation. She will discuss `Partner for Community Health' -- the designated theme for this year's International Nurses' Day.
