Lynn Bardgett grew up in restaurants
been at it for 23 years. She is soft spoken and has a flashy smile.
Ms. Bardgett grew up with the restaurants being a part of her life. The whole family worked doing restaurant tasks of one kind or another. "Restaurant work is very demanding and consuming and sometimes it takes the whole family to actually help out and to understand the stresses,'' explained Ms. Bardgett.
The only free day for the family was and continues to be Sunday. "Fritz is a wonderful step father to me and my sister. He can be a bit `my way or the highway' but he usually makes excellent decisions both personally and professionally.
"Fritz has taught me all aspects of the restaurant business,'' explained Ms.
Bardgett. "This is my life-long career and I enjoy the many challenges.'' Ms. Bardgett describes her management style as "relaxed.'' She expects quality performances from the staff at all times. Many of the key staff have been there or with other restaurants Fritz owned for 25 years or more.
Ms. Bardgett was very complimentary toward the staff, "They are seasoned professionals and do their work well. We are a big family and we have a lot of cooperation and team work that's been in place for years.'' "Like Fritz, I enjoy meeting people and taking care of them when they come through our door. There are many doors they could choose. We aim to make their experience with us pleasant and memorable, hoping they come again.'' When ever Ms. Bardgett gets time off she visits her 17-year-old daughter, Robyn, who attends a Boston prep school.
Robyn enjoys the arts and Ms. Bardgett hopes she will choose a career in the arts. "We love the city of Boston. It is family oriented, safe and we know many nice people there. I am familiar with the area. We go shopping, out to eat and just have a good time together,'' said Ms. Bardgett.
