Proceeds for the event, sponsored by the City of Hope Insurance Council, are to be dedicated to breast cancer research at the City of Hope Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute.

The insurance industry is supporting efforts against the disease, which results in 45,000 deaths annually in the US alone -- one of the leading killers among women.
