My kind of place

British Member of Parliament for Torbay, and his Bermudian wife Nikki (formerly Van Moppes) are frequent visitors to Bermuda and own their own home here. The couple, who live in London, have two children aged six and 12.

Allason is also an author and espionage expert. He writes under the pen name Nigel West. "I think my favourite place is probably the beach terrace at the Coral Beach Club, where we are members. We have dinner there when we are visiting Bermuda, which is a lot. I don't think there is anywhere else in the world that has such a spectacular view, especially when there is a full moon - it's absolutely beautiful. It's more the place that I like than the restaurant itself, although the food is good and the menu simple. It's probably better for dining than anywhere else in Bermuda. The other thing that I like so much about it is that I can wear an open shirt - I don't have to wear a suit, or even a tie. I wear a suit for almost everything I do in England, so when I come to Bermuda I refuse to wear a tie, and that excludes me from a lot of places in Bermuda. Also, every time we go there, I know we're going to know people at at least one or two other tables. It's a very friendly atmosphere.'' No caption.
