John Stamos, who plays Jesse on the Channel 7 TV show Full House, visited Bermuda with a friend over five days in June. The 29-year-old actor, who is based in Los Angeles, stayed at the Elbow Beach Hotel. He has been on Full House for six years and before that appeared on the daytime soap General Hospital.

"I think above the beauty of the place, I was really surprised that the people were so beautiful. Everyone was so friendly. When I go on vacation, I usually go to Hawaii, but we decided to come to Bermuda this time, and I'm really glad we did. When you think about any of the islands, you never know what they're going to be like. Coming to Bermuda, I didn't know what to expect. But it really blew me away. The other islands are definitely not as beautiful as Bermuda. The people, the beaches, the architecture, the colours - everything about it is gorgeous. I think if I have to pick one place, it would be the secluded beach we found. It was a cove -Jobson Cove - at Warwick Long Bay. We stopped at a liquor store and bought a bottle of wine and stayed on the beach all day on our last day. It was really great. It was my first trip to Bermuda.
