Portuguese National Day was hosted by Portuguese consul Dr. Francisco Santos Correia and his wife Mrs. Stance Santos Correia, not the Portuguese Association and Vasco da Gama Club as stated in Thursday's front page photo caption.

NATIONAL CELEBRATION -- Bermuda's Portuguese residents yesterday celebrated Portuguese National Day with a cocktail party held by the Portuguese Association and the Vasco da Gama Club, at the club's Reid Street headquarters. Among several invited dignitaries were Lady Langley (centre) and Mr. Francisco Santos Correia, the Portuguese Consul. Miss Melony Madeiros formed part of the event's welcoming committee.
