Under conductor Graham Garton, the programme is a varied one, featuring the popular Mendelssohn's `Fingal's Cave' Overture from `The Hebrides', Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on `Greensleeves', `Faure's `Pavane', the `Toy' Symphony of Haydn, Bach's Viola Concerto, and will close with Mendelssohn's `Italian' Symphony.

The soloist in Bach's C Minor Concerto is Kate Fraser, a member of the Menuhin Foundation. Starting music lessons at the age of six, she took up the viola when she was ten and subsequently became principal viola of the National Children's Orchestra in the UK. With extensive experience in chamber music, she has played several solo recitals in London and Cambridge, and has become a frequent performer in Bermuda since her arrival here four years ago.

With Kerry Haslam as leader, five instrumentalists from the US will augment the Society's orchestra.

The concerts take place at City Hall today and tomorrow at 8 p.m. Tickets at $20 ($14 for students) are available at The Harbourmaster, or at the door.
