Samantha -- who is a former pupil of Bermuda High School for Girls and The Armand Hammer United World College of the American West -- beat out more than 110 applicants to receive the scholarship which is worth $30,000 over the next three academic years and is funded by Jardine Matheson International Services Limited, the Bermuda-based subsidiary of international conglomerate Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited. Samantha will embark on her chosen career in medicine at Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania.
