length of Great Britain in a charity event called Ride 2000. Mr. Alastair Johnson, 68, and Mr. Stephen Gair, 34, completed the gruelling 900 mile pedal cycle ride to celebrate the new millennium and raise money which was split between two local charities: The Lady Cubitt Compassionate Association, (LCCA) and The Committee of 25 for Handicapped Children.
