Saltus puts Mozart onstage
about the life of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, on Thursday, April 24.
The curtains rise at 2 p.m. in the Junior School Hall, and parents and friends are cordially invited to attend. Admission is $1.
The play, written and directed by Saltus music teacher Sue Hall, is entitled "The Magic of Mozart'' and will feature music written by the renowned, 18th Century Austrian composer. A mini version of Mozart's famed opera, `The Magic Flute', will form part of the presentation.
The entire J6 class of 75 students will participate in the programme, either in acting parts or by playing musical instruments. "By delving into the details of Mozart's life, the students have become thoroughly engrossed in the subject,'' Mrs. Hall said.

*** Tenor Gary Burgess will be featured at The Berkeley Educational Society's Centenary Spring Concert this Saturday at the City Hall Theatre, 8 p.m.
Mr. Burgess is professor of Voice and Opera at the State University of New York at Buffalo and director of the University's Opera Workshop.
He has had a distinguished career as a performer and teachers. As a performer he has performed with such companies as the Metropolitan Opera, San Fransico Opera, Philadelphia Opera, Opera South, Houston Grand Opera, Rochester Opera, Delaware Opera Society and the Kentucky Opera.
He made his European debut with the Greek National Opera in Athens as Bacchus in Ariadne auf Nazos during the 1973-74 season, and subsequently sang in most of the major houses of Europe.
Tickets for the concert are available from the City Hall Box Office open Monday to Friday 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., and from members of the Society Management Committee.
