Seniors stage special events
Community and Cultural Affairs will be holding a number of events this month.
On Thursday, at 10.45 a.m. Dr. Khin Myint, of the Continuing Care Unit at King Edward Hospital, will discuss healthy aging on the SixtySomething Radio Show (ZFB 1230).
This Saturday, all are invited to join the Spanish Point Walkers at Admiralty House for a walk to Spanish Point Beach. Refreshments will be served.
On February 25, a Service of Thanksgiving will be held at 12.30 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity on Church Street in Hamilton. Light refreshments will be served after the service in the Cathedral Hall.
And on February 26, the Seniors Circle Club will host a Forum on Healthy Aging with Dr. Khin Myint at the Devonshire Adventist Church Hall on Roberts Avenue.
The Pembroke Rotary Club will be hosting a One Day of Fun, One World of Difference Children's Fair this Saturday.
The fair will take place at the BAA Gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature music, food, train rides, etc.
And an assortment of prizes, including a seven-day Carnival Cruise and a Disney vacation for four, will also be up for grabs.
The event will benefit Paget Primary, Northlands Primary, Foster Parents Association, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Family Resource Network Charitable Trust.
The Bermuda National Trust will be hosting Children's Nature Walks next week at Spittal Pond.
On Thursday, Feb. 11, The Trust will take groups of children on a nature walk of Spittal Pond.
Groups will leave the Eastern parking lot every 15 minutes between the hours of 9 and 11 a.m.
Refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk.
