Singer Snow flies in for weekend concerts
scene, is performing live in Bermuda this weekend.
And he may be hoping his reception will be better tonight than the chilly one he received in the Canadian city of Vancouver this week.
The 23-year-old Canadian reggae/rap artist apparently stormed off stage midway through a concert after being pelted with beer cans and bottles.
British tabloid The Daily Mirror reported that trouble flared when Snow received a lukewarm response from the crowd.
He is reported to have thrown an ice cube at an audience member and threatened to beat the person up.
Soon after, amid jeers and catcalls, he walked off stage after playing just 20 minutes.
Snow is stopping here following the conclusion in New York of a major tour of Canada and America to promote his debut album, "12 Inches of Snow''.
This week it was Billboard's number one reggae album. The song Informer remained in the number one slot on Canada's music charts for six months. It also reached the top five and ten in America, Britain, Europe and as far away as Australia.
The "Snowman'' grew up in what he describes as an "impoverished environment'' in a predominantly Jamaican section of Toronto. He says his number-one hit Informer is a true story of mistaken identity, a scuffle with the law and incarceration.
He and his band are performing tonight and tomorrow night at the Clayhouse Inn.
Also slated to appear are the winners of a recent talent contest held at the Clay House Inn: Reggae bands Conscious and Unity Hi-Power and reggae rappers Squinty and Wilde.
Showtime is 10.30 p.m. -- with dancing until 3 a.m. Tickets are $25.
