Sisters awarded concession

set to be up and running by May 1, it emerged yesterday. The news came as Port Royal Golf Course manager Max Atherden responded to inquiries about the fate of the restaurant at the facility which has been closed for some months.

He confirmed that the sister-team of Tracy Burch Moore and Trina Jackson had been awarded the restaurant concession and would be opening on May 1.

He added that while the restaurant remained closed in April, it would be refurbished and cleaned. The problems experienced by Port Royal in getting its restaurant up and running were echoed at the two other Government owned courses, Ocean View and St. George's Golf Clubs, but those restaurants are now up and running. The delay in getting Port Royal's restaurant occupied is understood to have been caused by the November General Election.
