"This year we are offering the Gina Spence Productions Mother's Day get-away package which includes accommodations for four two six people, Sunday morning Bermuda breakfast, and then the show in the evening and after party,'' Ms Spence said.

She added: "The entertainment this year is what I would call the `cream of the crop' in male vocalist.

"Under the musical direction of Michael Fox we have Keon Simmons, Wellington `Blue Magic' Darrell, Vance Goater from the Time Tunnel Review, Stevie Darrell, and In His Image.'' Ms Spence said a special tribute will be made to GSP's chosen Mother of the Year June Caisey, for her contributions to the entertainment arena.

"Lady Tyson will do a special tribute for Mrs. Caisey, and a special poem will be read by Aja Jones. Sammy DeGraff will give a musical tribute.

"We wanted to acknowledge mothers who have raised their families and are still in the entertainment seen,'' Ms Spence added.

Tickets for the 8.30 p.m. show are $30, weekend package $200 which includes everything contact Sonesta for reservations. Tickets can be purchased from Ricky's Barber Shop, Spence's Hair Design, and the Music Box.

*** The Bermuda Society of Arts has appointed a new president, Eldon Trimingham III.

He was elected at the annual general meeting on April 24. Joining him on the governing body for the ensuing year are: Marianne Wilcox (first vice-president), Robert Herr (second vice-president), Scarlett Pottinger (treasurer), Barry Dodds (secretary), Cathy Draycott, Carolyn Finch, Richard Horsemann, Nicky Lusher, Proctor Martin, Fiona Morrison.
