Successful first year for Gallery
manager Deborah Harper reports that the year has been a very successful one, with both local and overseas artists participating in a wide variety of exhibitions.
"The gallery has endeavoured to maintain a high standard of excellence, and will continue to provide exhibitions featuring Bermuda's finest artists, along with well-known artists from abroad,'' she said.
Mrs. Harper noted that the Gallery's "superb'' location had also contributed to its success.
"It meant that the artwork was prominently displayed, and enticed art lovers from all sections of the community to stop in, browse, enjoy and hopefully purchase works to add to or begin a collection,'' she explained.
The general manager confirmed that "an exciting line-up'' is scheduled for 2001, and will include repeat visits by Henry Ward and Sharon Wilson, among other artists.
Mrs. Harper also thanked the Gallery's clientele and the public for their enthusiasm and support during its first year of operation.
