The tag day caps the month of April during which PARENTS holds a Blue Ribbon Community Campaign for Prevention of Child Abuse in combination with Child and Family Services and the Inter-Agency Committee for Children and Families.

The goal of PARENTS is to prevent child abuse and neglect through participant-led, professionally facilitated self-help groups for parents.
