Flanagan's Sports Bar is truly devoted to sport. And fans will surely revel in the international coverage given to sport both day and night. But the bar will also provide television viewers with alternative entertainment, according to managing director, Mr. Thomas Gallagher. "We intend to use the Sports Bar in various ways,'' he said. If, for instance, there happens to be a lull in the game on television, Sports Bar customers can play the NBA "Basketball Jam'' game. Stationed at the entrance of the bar, it is similar in size to a pinball machine. And the object of the game is to get as many basketballs in the hoop as possible in a limited amount of time. Two sports-oriented video games can also be found at the entrance of the bar for added entertainment, said Mr.

Gallagher. As well, darts enthusiasts can play using the bar's two dart boards. Or they can watch the local dart competition every Monday night.

People can also enjoy the inexpensive finger food, soups, stews, burgers and wholesome pub grub as well as the stellar selection of beers on tap, European and American bottled beers or special wines. "We may play live music on some nights,'' said Mr. Gallagher. "And we would like to hold small dinner theatres with different acts including Irish folk or comedy. But that really depends on Immigration.'' The Sports Bar will also be used as a place for private parties. "We can cater to local business organisations, international companies, wedding parties and so forth,'' said Mr. Gallagher. "The Sports Bar can comfortably sit 60 people and we can accommodate up to 100 people for a cocktail party.'' So the new Sports Bar is not only for serious sports fans.

It is the place to get a quick lunch and an after work relaxer. It is also a wine bar and the perfect place for private parties, said Mr. Gallagher. PHOTO TILT, TILT! No bar, not even a sports bar, would be complete without pinball.
