Lebanese-born Rev. Dr. Lucien Accad, General Secretary of the Bible Society in Lebanon will be telling the story of the dangers faced by him and his staff during those tumultuous years, when he addresses the monthly luncheon meeting of the Lions Club at the Princess Hotel today.

Rev. Accad has been invited here by the Bermuda Bible Society as guest speaker at their Annual General Meeting and Dinner to be held at the Wesley Methodist Church Hall in Hamilton tomorrow evening.

This evening, he will also be the guest speaker at the First Church of God, North Shore, Pembroke, at 7.30 p.m.

Ordained as a pastor of the Church of God in 1977, Rev. Accad is well known in Lebanon and Switzerland for his work with the Youth for Christ programmes in those countries and for over 120 radio programmes specially prepared for transmission in Ethiopia.

The Church of God in Lebanon is a founding member of the Supreme Council of Protestants, an organisation that is recognised by the Lebanese government.

Since he became General Secretary of the Bible Society in 1983 he has also been elected to the Boards of the Lebanese Evangelical Mission, Lutheran Ministries and the Catholic Centre for Information.

Also visiting Bermuda for the Annual General Meeting is the Rev. Floyd Babcock, General Secretary of the Canadian Bible Society.

Well known mezzo-soprano Mrs. Nancy Chisling will be the guest singer at the A.G.M.
