The Bermuda Poetry Association is proud to announce the winners of its first contest -- Cynthia Thomas, Waverly Minors and Joy Tucker Wilson.
The recipients will receive their prizes next Wednesday at the Leopard's Club at 6.30 p.m. when the Association's book "A tribute to Mothers and Fathers'' is launched.
Association president Dale Butler said he was delighted with the book and hoped there would be additional books produced by the fledgling group which is currently undergoing a membership drive.
Mr. Butler added that he was disappointed that the book was overdue, as it was originally expected in February in time for Mother's Day.
But he hoped that the Bermudian public would support the book and attend the launching at the Leopard's Club.
