Meanwhile, OCC I showed their second team OCC II exactly why they are number two with a 7-0 whitewash to move within seven points of top spot.
Robert Gaglio, who had a hattrick, Phil Lambert and Dennis Coyle were all double winners for OCC I. OCC I now have 27 points compared to 34 for Nationals.
Conversely, Queens Club II were not intimidated at all by their first team and came out on top 4-3 to remain third. Ed Gumbs starred for QC II as he took two games from Steven Roberts, the second when Roberts fouled on the black.
Nick Mansell and Gary Skinner went 1-1 as did Greg Falzone and Glenn Flood.
Falzone had the high break with an 18.
