Top Canadian musician Valdy to play at Folk Club's anniversary bash
Canadian music legend Valdy kicks-off the Bermuda Folk Club's 25th anniversary with an open air concert this Friday at the Spanish Point Boat Club.
Beloved, revered, honest; Valdy has coloured the Canadian musical landscape since 1972 when he broke onto the charts with the album "Country Man''.
Since then he has released nine best-selling albums including four gold records and 16 charted singles.
With his tenth album "Heart at Work,'' Valdy continues to mesmerise folk, country, and rock fans throughout Europe, Scandinavia, and the United States -- not to mention Canada -- with his satin voice and guitar virtuosity.
Opening for Valdy will be Bermuda's own Chris Broadhurst.
Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 for members, $15 for non-members and are available at the Music Box, Folk Club committee members or at the door.
