And Kenneth and Elsie Burrows are living proof that love is truly all you need.

On Valentine's Day the charming Southampton couple will celebrate their 65th Wedding Anniversary.

Mrs. Burrows, 85, told The Royal Gazette that their secret to a long and happy marriage was putting their faith in another man -- The Lord.

"We put our trust in the Lord,'' she said. "I believe that that is the secret, I really do.

"Every morning when I wake up I thank the Lord for another day.'' And in turn the Lord has blessed the couple with four children (two sons and two daughters) and ten grandchildren.

"Everyday has been special, I can't think of one particular moment that stands out,'' she recalled. "We have done a lot of travelling over the years which has been really nice. We've been to Alaska, Europe, Israel, but now that we are getting up in age my husband doesn't want to go anymore.'' And for those just starting out on their long road of wedded bliss, Mrs.

Burrows had some advice.

"When they make a vow to love and cherish, they should really mean it,'' she insisted. "And when your mate makes you angry, just smile. One person can't stay angry if the other is smiling.

"When my husband use to make me angry I would just smile and say `hi darling'.'' And the couple added that they hoped their long-lasting love would inspire other young twosomes.

"When we were coming up you never heard of divorce,'' Mrs. Burrows recalled.

"It just wasn't an option.

"Now it is so common.''
