station's news director Mr. Jim McKey said yesterday.

One will replace senior reporter Miss Vicki Abraham, who leaves on Christmas Day.

She is returning to Australia. Her mother is understood to live there.

"We would like to get another journalist in addition to one replacing Vicki,'' said Mr. McKey.

"It is all part of our plans to expand our news coverage.'' Mr. McKey said Miss Abraham's departure was "all very amicable''.

"We will be very sorry to see her leave,'' he added.

Mr. McKey said he had already received three applications to an advertisement for a new broadcast journalist.

He declined to name the applicants, but said they were local.

The ad in yesterday's Royal Gazette stated the successful applicant would compile and present radio and television news and sports.

They should have a good background in news and sports presentation.
