Women's sssociation in appeal for new members
come forward after its annual general meeting, it was revealed this week.
The Business and Professional Women's Association said that it was looking for new blood to boost its aging membership.
Renee Morris, who was just elected corresponding secretary of the organisation made the appeal yesterday. Ms Morris said: "We welcome professional women and women aspiring to be professionals and would like to invite new members to come forward.
"We would like to attract younger women into the organisation as many of our members are slightly older.'' The organisation has just held its annual general meeting and elected a new president Cynthia Thomas, the Manager of Regulation and Taxation, at the Registrar of Companies.
It is her first time to be elected as president. Marlene Christopher was voted in first vice president and Delores Darrell second vice president.
Velda Smith is treasurer, recording secretary Immie Ong-Aban and corresponding secretary Ms Morris.
