The Success Series will continue with another segment of Acting for Success.

Auditions are set to take place at The Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts next Thursday September 25, at 6.30 pm.

Asked what entrants would have to do to prepare, Kevin Bean, of KDB Entertainment, said: "They will need to have a monologue prepared either comedy or tragedy/drama that is two minutes long."

Anyone who is selected as one of the six finalists will immediately be given two ten-minute scripts to learn for the show.

A scholarship will be awarded to the winner to attend the Neighborhood Playhouse.

"Harold Baldridge, who is the executive director of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater, will be here himself to judge both the auditions as well as the finals at the show, which will be on October 22 at the City Hall Theatre."

He added: "They should all expect to gain valuable information and guidance with respect to their dreams of becoming actors.

"With Mr. Baldridge himself here it just doesn't get any better than having the very person who runs the school they hope to attend."

When asked whether the winners of Acting for Success would be included in the Apollo Show, he said: "The winner of the Acting For Success competition will absolutely be included in the Apollo Show."

Mr. Bean said that this was the final competition of the Success Series 2008.

"We are looking forward to it finishing off with a bang!" he said.

"I am really excited about having Mr. Baldridge here to do not only the auditions, but be at the show as well because it adds to the legitimacy of our Success Series. "We promised education through both scholarships and international exposure and it's thanks to the people like Mr. Baldridge who has given us a full year's scholarship to the Playhouse.

"By the end of the show we will have given out over $50,000 in scholarships.

"The Apollo Theater event will be an incredible journey for over 25 Bermudian entertainers who will grace the stage of the world famous venue."
