West Indian Association annual end of summer boat cruise on MV Longtail departing from Albuoy's Point at 8.30 p.m. until 11.30 p.m. Tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door. Dinner is included in the cost of admission. Contact 533-6633 or any of the members of the management committee.

La Leche League of Bermuda will hold a support group meeting open to pregnant women, mothers and babies at 10.30 a.m. in the first floor conference room at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The meeting topic is 'Breastfeeding and the Working Mother'. LLL of Bermuda is a registered charity, offering mother-to-mother help and encouragement to women wanting to breastfeed their babies. An accredited La Leche League Leader will be present to answer questions and address concerns. The meeting discussions include the latest medical research as well as personal experience. The Anglican Parish of Pembroke presents an Evening of Organ Favourites performed by Marinda Snyman of South Africa at 7.30 p.m. $30 for adults and $20 for students. The Corporation of Hamilton's free Summer Sundays in the Park will be hosting a rock, pop and soul concert entitled 'Rock n de Rock'. Venue: Victoria Park's Historic Bandstand. It will feature Mohawk Radio, Ed Fox, Ronnie and the Secrets, Taylor Rankin, Ground Zero, Working Title, Taylor Rankin and the Kennel Boys. There will also be activities for children. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

ANCOP International Bermuda GK Walk 2009, a 5k fundraising walk, to be at 9 a.m. from Botanical Gardens taking the scenic route of Harbour Road, Lovers Lane, South Road all the way to Tee Street back to Berry Hill Road. KBB Island Wide Marine Clean Up Day. Join the community effort for our Island's 400th Anniversary to Keep Bermuda Beautiful. Choose a coastal or water location that needs to be cleaned up. Gather together a team from your organisation, your neighbourhood, your family or friends. Choose a time in the morning or afternoon. If need be, schedule this for September 20. After your group performs their marine debris clean up, call KBB to report the number of blue (recyclable) and black bags collected and bulky waste items. Ace Gallery: Calix Smith – Que Vive El Concepto (Long Live the Concept) Until September 30. Calix Smith is currently pursuing an associate degree in art and design at the Bermuda College. The show consists of 12 drawings and paintings, many in black and white charcoal with splashes of colour. Most of his work offers a social commentary on local and international issues including the plight of young black males. Ace Building, 17 Woodbourne Avenue, Hamilton. Alfred Birdsey: An Exhibition of Paintings by Alfred Birdsey from the Collection of E. Michael Jones. Until December. As one of Bermuda's most celebrated artists, Alfred Birdsey stood alone for most of the second half of the 20th century as the only modernist painter working in Bermuda. Entirely self-taught, it is believed he started painting in 1927 at the age of 16. This exhibition of paintings is selected from the extensive collection of E. Michael Jones, one of Birdsey's major collectors. The paintings, all from the 1970s and 1980s, span a period when Birdsey created his most accomplished works.

Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Titanic exhibit until November 30. A unique collection of Titanic artefacts, photographs and memorabilia, throughout the exhibits. This exhibit will not be seen anywhere else in the world as these collections have been compiled by BUEI from various sources to give visitors a wide overview of how the greatest marine tragedy captivated the public.
