Personality, dancing ability, special talent and and a sporting outlook all mattered when it came to scoring points with the judges of the third Miss Sandys Athletic Pageant.

And the eight finalists, all honour students at Sandys Secondary Middle School, put on their finest evening gowns to further impress and add a classy splash of colour and finery to a delightful evening of entertainment and tension in the school hall.

Who would envy the judges whose task it was to find an overall winner. In the end the result came down to a just a handful of points separating the eight sparkling students.

Mauricka Burchall-Edness was declared the winner, with J'ree Cann runner-up and Destine Bean second runner-up and also named Miss Conjevenality.
