Fashion show to take place under the stars
Liquid Space Fashion Show and After Party will go off in the moonlit surrounds of Chaplin Bay.
The event is a joint venture between the Stefanel Group of Companies and Barmuvinjam party people.
Yvie Cacace, of the Stefanel Group of Companies spoke to The Royal Gazette about tonight's fashion show and after party.
"The clothing will come from Sasch, Stefanel and Mambo and we are showing the Summer 2008 and previewing the Fall 2008 in the second half."
The 50 models are coming from both JaKoMa and some of their staples.
"All of our beautiful people are from Bermuda," she said.
"A selection of JaKoMa models and there will be other models who work with the Stefanel Group of Companies on a regular basis.
"One is Miss Sasch Bermuda, Danielle Smith and Miss Italia Nel Mondo, representing Bermuda, Miss Cristina Troja will be sure to please the crowd as they strut their stuff."
The fashion show begins promptly at 8 p.m., that is not all audiences have to look forward to.
"Not only is this a fashion show like ever before, with a catwalk of 100 feet, which cascades along the shoreline of the pristine blue waters at Chaplin Bay in Warwick, but it is also the beach party of the summer, one to remember," she said.
"F1 Video DJs from Barbados spinning their mixes with the addition of two mega screens strategically placed on the beach so you don't miss a thing, DJ Chubb doing it up for the fashion show itself, an intermission of Bermuda's own C'Danger, the Liquid Space girls featuring the new line of designer helmets from Cycle Care, and a second half featuring the preview Fall collection of our Diesel line from Mambo.
"All this and a full moon to boot! The light of the moon will be an asset as we dance into the wee hours of the morning."
Having quite a line up of emcees, they said the aim was to ensure that all and sundry would be pleased with the selections.
"We are expecting a very diverse cross section of Bermuda and this has been reflected in our DJ Selection," said Ms Cacace.
"We wanted to make sure that we catered to fans of all types of music including European, US and Caribbean flavours.
"Everyone will be pleased with the selection of music – there will be something for everyone."
In light of the recent murder of teenager Kellon Hill, they assured that security will be tighter than ever.
"Security is always tight at our events and we will take the necessary steps to ensure that we have a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone."
