Gala to benefit hospital
A charitable gala for the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust will take place next month at the Tucker's Point Hotel and Spa.
Tucker's Point is celebrating its opening by co-sponsoring the charitable gala on April 30.
Edward Trippe, chief executive officer of Tucker's Point Club and Philip Butterfield, chief executive officer of Bank of Bermuda, are serving as co-chairmen of the event. Premier Dr. Ewart Brown, Governor Sir Richard Gozney, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are honorary chairpersons.
Mr. Trippe said: "We chose to focus on the health care sector as it touches all residents, as well as visitors requiring health services. The Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust is an independent organisation spearheading the fundraising efforts for Bermuda Hospitals Board.
"We applaud their vision and are confident the gala funds will benefit many people for generations to come."
BHCT is an independent organisation, governed by a Board of Trustees which determines the fundraising policy for Bermuda Hospitals Board, advises BHB on fiduciary matters, manages the distribution of donations and secures charitable resources to enhance hospital care in Bermuda.
A silent auction with special prizes will be held. Sponsorship packages are available and gala tickets can be purchased for $250 per individual or $1,000 per patron ticket.
