Hospital staff honour outgoing supervisor

supervisor of the Extended Care Unit Lower at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with an engraved plaque and presention party.

Mrs. Simmons, who has worked in KEMH for 25 years, was recognised for her dedication and hard work with the staff of the ECU Lower.

Staff and management in the ECU Lower came together to honour Mrs. Simmons, who was said to be "right there working with us''.

Mrs. Simmons is soon to leave the department and staff felt only a plaque and presentation party would be an appropriate parting gift.

The 30-plus people who attended the party watched as local singer Dwight Warren stole the show and a CedarBridge Academy youth, Nevin Williams, dazzled them with his saxophone performance.

The Biblical words of Proverbs 31:31 spoke best of Marilyn Simmons and was engraved on her plaque. "Give her of the fruit of her hands and let own works phrase her in the gates.'' Outstanding: Gina Dyer of KEMH Extended Care Unit Lower presents Marilyn Simmons with a plaque for her outstanding performance at the hospital.
