Meet marred by heart attack

Eduard Ermolaev, a Russian national who coaches the Hill's Angels team from Maryland, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital's Intensive Care Unit at around 2 p.m. after collapsing during the Bermuda Triangle Gymnastics meet at the Southampton Princess.
Staff at the hospital yesterday reported Mr. Ermolaev had been moved out of ICU and was resting comfortably in a general ward. Mr. Ermolaev's wife, Irina, flew into the Island on Monday to be with him and his staying with a local family, meet chairman Craig Christensen told The Royal Gazette .
Meet officials spent much of Sunday at the Southampton Princess making sure the rest of the team -- scheduled to leave the same day -- was taken care of, Mr. Christensen added.
