Mr. & Mrs. David G. Cooper of Church Road, Southampton, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Damian Cooper to Julia Shipley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Shipley of Alderley Edge, Cheshire, England.
The couple are to be married at St. Mary's Church, Nether Alderley, Cheshire, England on September 13, 2008.
Both Julia and Damian, who met at the University of Bristol, are Chartered Accountants working with Pricewaterhouse-Coopers in London, England
Danielle Elizabeth Baikie has been awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in accounting and finance from the University of Brighton in the UK.
Ms Baikie, a Saltus Grammar School graduate and the daughter of Ann and Michael Watkins of Smith's, is working at Deutsche Bank in Jersey in the Channel Islands.
Melvin A. Nusum graduated from Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pennsylvania on May 10 with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business.
Mr. Nusum, the son of Melvin and Janet Nusum of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the grandson of Barbara Bean of Warwick, played for Kutztown University's Golden Bears Varsity football team. Attending the graduation were special friends, his parents and family. Mr. Nusum is now working in Philadelphia.
Reilly Lynne Ingham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brendan J. Ingham of Paget graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Hampshire.
Ms Ingham, who received her degree at the 138th commencement exercises on May 24, was also named a UNH Presidential Scholar for outstanding academic achievement.
Ms Jerrydene Griffiths of Devonshire, Bermuda, announces the engagement of their daughter, Terry-Lynn Griffiths to Scott Donald Cambell of Appin, Ontario. The couple will be married on August 15, 2009.
Miss Griffiths graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor's Degree in Management and Organizational Studies while Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Susan Campbell, also graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics. He works as a Financial Accountant in Ontario Canada.
Lekisha Nelson (nee Woods) recently graduated from Newman University in Colorado Springs, Colorado obtaining her Master of Social Work degree with honours.
She is the daughter of Sharon Simmons of Sandys and Harry Woods of Pembroke, and the granddaughter of Alice Simmons of Sandys and Reuben Woods of Smiths. Lekisha attended CedarBridge Academy, The Bermuda College and Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.
She is a member of SWOA (Social Work Outreach Association) and is a member of The Epsilon Epsilon Chapter Phi Alpha Honor Society and Pi Gamma Mu, International Honor Society in Social Sciences.
Attending the ceremony were her husband Jarrod Nelson, mother, cousin Tiffany Alexander of Smith's, and the Nelson and Medulla families of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
