Every teacher and principal in the Bermuda Public School System will receive a copy of 'Bermuda's Flora Volume One' from local Bermuda plant expert Lisa Greene.

Mrs. Greene, who is passionate about teaching the Island's residents about their natural environment, not only wrote the editorial, which includes a written description of each plant, but took the photos herself.

Mrs. Greene is proud of her project, which took 18 months to complete. "I am passionate about teaching people about plants. Seeing people enjoying the book as a final product is great. I want people to learn more – the more they know, the more they care."

The books, which are also engagement calendars, can be used at every level of learning, she added.
