Bermuda International Film Festival Man on Wire, which won the Audience Award as well as the Jury Prize in the World Cinema Documentary category at January's Sundance Film Festival, is the Bermuda International Film Festival's September Film Series selection. The film will screen on Thursday September 18 in the Tradewinds Auditorium at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute at 6.30 p.m. (note earlier time). Tickets, $8 for BIFF Film Club members and $10 for non-members, can be reserved at info@biff.bm.

The Walking Club of Bermuda meets every Sunday at 7 a.m. and the group walks for six to seven miles. These walks are free and all are welcome. There are also cut-off points for those who do not want to walk the full distance. Meet in the parking lot at each location at 7 a.m. for a 7.10 a.m. start. This week the walk takes place at Spanish Point Park, Pembroke. Bermuda National Gallery PartnerRe Art Lecture Series: Bill Brandt in Focus. Reception 5.30 p.m., lecture 6 p.m. by visiting Goldsmiths College, University of London lecturer and art critic, Ian Jeffrey, who will discuss Brandt's connections with European photography in the 1930s and his photographic techniques. This presentation will reveal much about Brandt's personality, his artistic intentions, and the influence of his art from the 1950s onwards: 'a major artist.' $10 members; $20 non-members.
