Breast Cancer Awareness Annual Fun Walk 3K/5K at Barr's Bay Park from 5 p.m. to 5.45 p.m. vendors and information tables, 6 p.m. walk starts. 8 p.m. reception with music and speakers honouring survivorship. Bermuda Feline Assistance Bureau BFAB fundraiser. Orange Valley House. Take a tour of the house built by Captain William Cox in 1802 on 10 acres of woodland and citrus orchards. The house has remained in the Cox family for six generations and is filled with family heirlooms and antiques, including Bermuda cedar furniture and portraits. From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. authors John Cox and Tracey Caswell will be on hand to sign copies of their books. Books will be on sale at cost ranging from $10 to $20 each. Car Boot Sale at St. Mary's Church Hall, Warwick from 9 am until noon. MAMA will be raising funds from the sale of refreshments and its own stall of children's toys and clothes. They are hoping to provide the emergency waiting room at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with books and toys for children waiting to be seen by a doctor.

Sail Festival at Barr's Bay Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A family fun day sponsored by the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. There will be vendors, fun castle, boat viewing, races, pirates wandering about, the town crier and DJ Bubbles providing music. For more information call 737-0024.

1 in 8 Busting Out at The Elliot Gallery at Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, 27 Jubilee Road, Devonshire. Bermuda Cancer & Health have partnered with Gibbons Company and Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation in this, a unique expression of support, creating a visual impact of the disease.

Bermuda National Gallery Partner Re Lecture James Count Early, director of Cultural Heritage Policy, Centre for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC will speak about Art, Culture and Politics at the Bermuda College in Room G301 from 1 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. Free admission.

The Bermuda Shakespeare Schools Festival 2009 from October 19 to 21. Runs for three nights starting at 7.30 p.m. Tickets on sale at the participating schools' offices. Tonight Saltus Grammar School's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'and Bermuda High School's 'The Taming of the Shrew'. Performances at Berkeley Institute.

The Bermuda Shakespeare Schools Festival continues with Somersfield Academy's 'Much Ado About Nothing' and Warwick Academy's 'Romeo and Juliet' at 7.30 p.m. Tickets on sale at the participating schools offices. Performances at Berkeley Institute.
