Professional sand sculptors will again be creating works of art on Bermuda's shores.

The professional Team Sandtastic, from Florida, will be giving free sand sculpting clinics at the Fairmont Southampton starting September 1.

They will also be creating a 100 ton main display at the beach.

Director of Tourism Billy Griffith said: "The Sand Sculpture competition was started 16 years ago by the Institute of Bermuda Architects and spearheaded by Nicky Gurret. This event has grown in participation and popularity and has proven to be a highly anticipated weekend of fun for our visitors and locals."

Amateur sand sculptors will join in the fun on September 4th at Horseshoe Bay, Southampton for the 16th Annual Bermuda International Sand Sculpture Competition. The winning sculpture will recieve $1,000.
