Keya’s Fun Approach marks 10th anniversary
What do you do when your dance programme is about to celebrate an important milestone anniversary?If you are dance instructor Keya Perinchief you decide to host a mini-festival for families and dance aficionados to join in on the action.‘Keya’s Fun Approach’, housed in the Bermuda Arts and Fitness Academy on Chapel Road, Paget, is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary.On Friday, starting at 5.30pm, people are invited to come out and see a performance by the Rod Rodgers Dance Company from New York City.Local performers will also be showcasing their talents and will be challenged to raise their performance level, Ms Perinchief said.In the past they have performed at the St George’s Christmas Parade, as well as the Bermuda Day Parade on May 24.The mini-festival will include a host of family-friendly activities like a bouncy slide and snack food like snow cones and popcorn. Other fun elements include a stall with crocheted items for sale, a chair massage and Cluster Designer Balloons will be on offer.Ms Perinchief said: “People should come out to see a world class professional dance company, to support the Island’s youth and for all the activities promoting family fun.“There will also be awards given out to each dancer, which I hope will be a self-esteem booster for them.”The event will take place at The Adventureland Nursery and Preschool.
