A man denied unlawfully entering three separate premises on June 17 and stealing $5,000 of computer equipment.

Robert Eugene Hewey, 57, of no fixed abode, denied entering Furniture Basics, on Victoria Street in Hamilton and taking merchandise valued at $5,031, including a laptop computer, digital camera, Dell flat screen monitor and keyboard.

Hewey also denied entering two homes on Brunswick Street, Pembroke, and taking fragrant oils from one home and a money pouch containing $250 cash from the other.

Hewey will remain in Police custody until his case is mentioned again on July 23 in Magistrates’ Court.
