PLP extends lead over UBP and BDA: survey
The Progressive Labour Party has extended its lead over the United Bermuda Party and Bermuda Democratic Alliance, according to a new poll from Mindmaps.Forty-four percent of people said they'd vote for the PLP, compared with 28 percent for the UBP and 13 percent for the BDA.Shortly before Premier Paula Cox took over from Ewart Brown last October, the race was much tighter, with the PLP on 27 percent, the UBP 20 percent, and 13 percent for the BDA.The poll from Mindmaps also confirms Ms Cox's growing popularity shown in a different survey by Research Innovations earlier this week.Mindmaps' poll shows Ms Cox's favourability rating has climbed from 54 percent to 62 percent in the past three months. But just 28 percent of people want the Premier to take advantage of her popularity by calling a general election in 2011.The full survey results will be published in tomorrow's Royal Gazette.
