A full scale search for a missing two-year-old child came to a happy end on New Year's Eve after the toddler turned up safe and well 300 yards away from his home.

A frantic father called Police for help at about 9.30 p.m. after returning home from a ten minute trip to find his son missing from his bed.

A major search of the neighbourhood around his Camp Hill Road, Warwick, home involving Police officers, family and neighbours eventually led to the boy being found not far from his home at about 10.10 p.m..

Two other adults were present but when he returned, he noticed his son gone.
