A young Bermudian is fighting for his life in hospital after being shot in an incident overseas.

Gregory Armstrong, thought to be in his early 20s, is believed to be a university student in Huntsville, Alabama.

His family were today flying out to be at his bedside at the hospital, where his condition has been described as critical.

It is understood the incident happened in Huntsville, where many Bermudians are students, at some point since Monday morning.
