Bermuda was tonight placed on a tropical storm watch as TS Shary is forecast to pass within 50 nautical miles of the Island this afternoon (Friday.)
The Bermuda Weather Service said on its website: “TS Shary has formed about 400 nautical miles south-southeast of Bermuda. It is expected to pass within 50 nautical miles to our east late Friday afternoon or Friday evening.
“Strong to tropical storm force winds are expected along with intermittent rain and squally showers. Winds remain strong through Saturday, but high pressure building will allow fair weather to develop.”
