Breaking News: Thieves steal from children's nursery

Police are investigating a burglary at a children’s nursery when thieves stole two laptop computers and loose change.

Police said today that at 4.20 pm on Sunday, they received a report of a burglary at Chatterbox Preschool in Southampton.

A spokesman said: “It appears that sometime between 6.30 pm on Friday and 8.30 am on Saturday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole two laptop computers and a quantity of loose change. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”

In another incident, Police received a report of a burglary at a Grape Bay Drive, Paget residence. American visitors to the island stated that sometime between 2:30pm and 5pm on Friday, someone gained entry into the home where they were staying while it was unoccupied, stealing a quantity of cash.

The suspect, who was apparently shirtless at the time, is described as a white male of slim build, approximately 5ft 10ins with a hairy chest, wearing blue trunks; he is also said to be bald and in his early 40s.
